I am currently a sixth year graduate student at the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. My thesis research is on the properties of infrared galaxies. Many of these galaxies are interacting or in the process of merging, like the ones shown in the above Hubble Space Telescope image. These galaxies are fondly known as The Mice. My research focuses on the evolution of such galaxies.
